As data center demand soars, Amazon expands the use of wastewater to cool its U.S. data centers and curb its use of drinking water.

Amazon.com said on Monday it plans to invest at least $20 billion in Pennsylvania to expand data center infrastructure, adding on to the billions of dollars the technology giant has committed to the expansion of AI technology.

Amazon has announced its plan to invest at least $20 billion in cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI) facilities in Pennsylvania. The first two locations to be identified for the development are Salem Township and Falls Township in Luzerne County.
