Miami coach Mario Cristobal talked to the media yesterday during the ACC media days in Charlotte and said he is confident the team’s year to year improvement since he took over the program will continue in 2025. The team went 5-7 in his first year, 7-6 in his second year, and 10-4 last year, just missing the College Football Playoffs.

Carson Beck, a high-profile transfer from Georgia, takes over at quarterback after Cam Ward’s NFL departure. Ward’s 2024 season was record-breaking, with 4,313 passing yards and 39 touchdowns. Beck, now fully recovered from a UCL injury, inherits a strong offensive line and run game, which should ease his transition.
The ACC has some highly-touted returning quarterbacks as well, most notably 4,000-yard passer Cade Klubnik at Clemson and the versatile Kevin Jennings at SMU. Both led their teams to the ACC title game and College Football Playoff berths last season.
