A Florida federal judge on Wednesday declined to release additional grand jury documents from the criminal investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, marking the first roadblock in the Justice Department’s efforts to quell the public backlash over the handling of the case.

Trump had directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to release “any and all pertinent" grand jury documents as pressure continues to mount on the administration over Epstein.

A judge in Florida rejected the Justice Department’s request to unseal grand jury testimony from disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal case from the mid 2000s, after the Trump administration asked to release the testimony amid heightened scrutiny over its decision not to release the Epstein files held by the FBI and DOJ.
