Hundreds of military vehicles will take to the streets of D.C. on June 14 as part of a military parade and celebration of the 250th birthday of the U.S. Army.

As D.C. gears up to host the 250th U.S. Army Anniversary Parade, residents can expect to see dozens of street closures and several Metrobus detours.

Thousands of people flocked to Washington, D.C., Saturday to celebrate the LGBTQIA community at the WorldPride Parade. Elaborate floats, performers and community advocates traveled the 1.8-mile parade route.

In preparation for the parade, the city installed more than 200 steel plates and rubber mats to protect D.C.’s historic streets.

Security plan for Army parade will include numerous restrictions, including numerous street and waterway closures, with some roads shut down for four days.
