President Donald Trump’s former personal attorney, Emil Bove, was pushed to repeatedly deny several accusations of corruption – one made by a whistleblower at the Justice Department – during his confirmation hearing Wednesday before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Bove, a top Justice Department official and President Trump’s former personal defense attorney, was nominated to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit.

Senate Republicans are pushing to quickly confirm Emil Bove to a spot on a federal appellate court, as the president’s former defense attorney has emerged as the most contentious judicial nominee so far this Congress.
