Ever wonder about the ferry you often see docked at Howard Amon park? It belongs to the American Queen Steamboat Company and is the largest and most elegant riverboat in the Pacific Northwest. It departs from Porltand, Oregon and makes a number of stops along the way to Clarkston, Washington. The American Empress was recently refurbished for her 2014 season along the Columbia and Snake rivers. This info. was posted on the Richland Community Center Facebook page and they can be contacted about the hours and dates the boat is available for boarding as it changes from time to time. Call (509) 942-7529 at 8am weekdays.
