A must-do experience if you are in the region. We arrived around 5.30pm, approximately 2 hours before sunset. There were quite a lot of people but the dunes are expansive so it is very easy to find…Full review by Christine P

Hi, I am planning to reach Arcachon station at around 5:30p.m. in late June and drop my bags at the hotel and then visit dune of pilat with my family (2 kids aged 1 & 3). Is that a doable plan or should I reach early? should I take a taxi to reach these destinations (or) some other way? Please suggest!

We took a charter boat cruise to the dune, but didn't actually land on it. So, can't really comment.
Can you rent a bicycle and take it to the dune, and if so how long would it take?

How long would it take ? That would depend on where you were cycling from I guess ! There is nothing much in the area other than campsites, forestry and the beach.
