Hi, My wife went to summe camp in Willow Creek (1950's) and we understand that now it is an outdoor resort and camping site. Can you tell me if we may visit and enjoy this area? Thanks, Judy and Miguel

This is a beautiful, thickly-wooded region and great for camping. I visited last April and there was quite a bit of rain. A storm broke out in Willow Creek and didn't let up until Petrolia. Roads are very narrow and windy, but none of these factors was a big deal. The 1 thing I disliked about the area are road crews stopping traffic due to rock/mud slides being cleared and this was happening many days later along US101 from Eureka to the OR coast as well. A real drag as some of these waits were 20-30 minutes. Things have probably dried out by now so I'd definitely go for it. Didn't see any Bigfoot but the Bigfoot Burger at W. Creek's Early Bird Café and BF Museum are a must.
