Are there shaded picnic area near the water where kids wade/play? Also which is the best place to park for a day trip with the kids to play in the water? Thank you!

There is not a shaded area, but by 4:00 the sun can travel enough to be partially obscured by the trees across the water. We bring beach umbrellas and chairs.
