Do people occasionally get stuck with a stingray barb? Seems that with so many interactions it would b bound to happen, but I don’t see any posts about safety here?

No, the barb is on the top part of the tail and not raised when they are happily feeding. Your biggest risk of injury is getting your palm nipped if you don’t properly hold the food like an ice cream cone for suction. That and tired facial muscles from smiling too much. These guys are so soft and sweet and used to people. I highly recommend it especially the 7am pre crowd excursions.

We just did this and my youngest is 6. We have to hold her because the wind was pretty strong so the waves were high that day. Just something to take into consideration. If it's a calm day then she would be able to stand on her own but because the waves were high I had to hold her.
