Old fort that is well preserved. A number of cannons and armaments are on display. Easy access. No real need for a guide. Nice place. Full review by TAMAN1951

Absolutely beautiful view and nice stories behind this historic site. You can see big blue fish swimming in the water from the watch out point. The entire family enjoyed! Full review by Hong Z

We did the Fort on our own on a trip earlier in the year. We did take the NCL cruise from Boston, but we booked a snorkeling trip with them. I do recommend the NCL tour of Bermuda, as it is the easiest w ay to see the highlights. Then next time you go fly, and see what you want. John

Below are walking directions to the fort from St Georges. For more details, see my 22 Nov 2014 review. Accessibility. Take the #1, #3, #10 or #11 bus to St Georges. By foot (from St Georges Square), walk approximately 150 yards/140 meters east on York Street; turn left (north) onto Government Hill Road and follow it for 200 yards/180 meters to the Unfinished Church; bear right and continue on Government Hill Road for 600 yards/560 meters to a T intersection; turn right (east) on Barry Road and continue 500 yards/460 meters to the entrance to the fort. The walk took me approximately 20 minutes/.8 miles/1.27 km. There is sufficient room for scooter parking. I am certain that one can easily take a taxi from St Georges.
