Spalding Park Environmental Sciences Elementary School is proud to be an Environmental Sciences Specialty School within the Sioux City Community School District. Environmental sciences incorporates social sciences for understanding human relationships, perceptions and policies towards the environment. A wooded area with a stream and a grassy area behind the school present a natural setting for learning. An outdoor classroom and the addition of native plants and flowers will supplement existing efforts such as recycling and gardening.
