First, buy tickets in advance. We did not and had to wait on line. Second, the entrance is hard to find, so ask someone. The place is gorgeous, and it is well maintained. The palace has many rooms… Full review by laurar705

I would skip it. The building was leveled in WW2 and rebuilt in 1950's. Interior lacks original detail. It's room after room of the audit tour telling you about where the furniture was …

I would skip it. The building was leveled in WW2 and rebuilt in 1950's. Interior lacks original detail. It's room after room of the audit tour telling you about where the furniture was obtained and who designed the cloth upholstering the wall. The exterior was poured concrete faux painted to give the appearance of carved stone.

You don’t have to. You pay on entry and under 18s are free . I think it cost around 7 Euro’s including headphones.

during WW2 a great part of the "Residenz" was distroyed it was rebuilt but unfortunatly WITHOUT AC
