My husband and I are planning to trek EBC in Oct 2018. We are in our 60s, in good health, like to walk, had done many same day hike but have no experience in trekking. We'd also like a spend a couple days in Kathmandu and Pakhara. Would like to have an idea how much a trip like that would cost us?

My advice would be to email Puru directly. I spent 4 days in Kathmandu, two days each side of my trek. Puru arranged my accommodation in Kathmandu and a city tour of numerous temples and all transfers were arranged for me too. As for price, above the Himalayas were the best on price for the trek I wanted to do. As all my meals were included throughout the trek in the tea houses.i payed around the $1600-$1700 for my trek, but my trek was longer in duration than just the EBC trek. 4 nights accommodation in Kathmandu, flight in and out of Lukla, 3 meals a day on trek included in that price too. Transfers to and from airports also included in that price. Hope this info helps.
