The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument reservation. Domažlice is located about 44 km southwest of Plzeň. It lies on the Radbuza River. It lies on the Zubřina stream. It is situated in the Upper Palatine Forest Foothills. A small part on the southwest extends into the Cham-Furth Depression and includes the highest point of Domažlice, the hill Dmout at 603 metres above sea level.
