Hi, we would like to visit the Orchard House but will not arrive in the area until evening. Can someone still walk past the house and take pictures from the outside after closing (I know you cannot go inside after 5 pm, etc.) Thank you in advance.

Yes, there is parking directly in front of the house and it takes great pictures. I took mine in the rain.
I am in Boston for 1 night (in September this year). Would love to visit Orchard House. We do not have a car whilst in Boston. How would we get to Concord and how long would it take to get there? TIA

Not sure. I looked at the map of the Boston T and did not see a Lexington/Concord stop. We drove so I really don't know.
