Lompat batu is available throughout of the year but you need to pay to see it. If you want to see their traditional dance, come during Indonesia's Independence Day on Aug. 17th and Christmas. Otherwise you have to pay a lot to get to see the dance wearing traditional clothing. Best time to visit Nias is middle of the year according to Mark Flint, owner of Kabu Nohi at Sorake because of the big swell. Give him a call and check out his place.
