What year did you open? We were actually the first visitors to the museum and are trying to remember the year but think it was 1990. We were on our way to Nashville from Michigan and on impulse decided to make a side trip to Fairmont and saw the sign James Dean Gallery. We stopped and tried the front door but a nice elderly lady came out and told us the grand opening wasn't until 6 that evening but we could come in and look around if we wanted to. We not only had our own private tour but were the first ones to sign the guest book. We both bought shirts. I love telling that story to people.
