Hi - I am not an expert on the canyons so your best bet would be to contact the tour company (they are really helpful and friendly). What I do remember being told though was that this canyon does have the light beams; however, like Antelope Canyon it is only for your 3weeks of the year as the sun needs to be directly above the canyon. Enjoy! Even without the light beams it is amazing

We traveled from Sedona and that was almost four hours
Thinking if we should book the morning or sunset time slot for the secret canyon and horseshoe bend. Would the pictures be better at sunset?

You really want to do the slot canyon in the AM or by mid day when the sun is above. Horseshoe would be nice at sunset. We did both together and went in the AM.
