Beautiful middle of the week paddle. People were scattered about so it did not feel congested anywhere on the river. Wonderful time of the year to go if you’d rather not deal with children or crowds.Full review by Jessica C

No actually where you launch is where you get picked up. Our launch site is very unique where it's centrally located in the Homosassa Springs. It's a very easy paddle to see the Manatee in the springs, take a trip to see the monkeys playing on Monkey Island or take a trip up the Halls River to see Old Florida at it's finest. Check out the paddle map on our website for an exact location as to where we are compared to all the great destinations that surround us!

Yes, you can self launch at this location which I highly recommend. I think they only charge $5 but check with them to be sure. The free public boat launches are more than a mile down river in the hub of large watercraft activity and where commercial fishing docks are located. River Adventure Tours location is a perfect kayaking location. If you look on their website they have a map with the kayak routes that you can take. We've been 4 times since we discovered them earlier this year. Great owners and staff and great location for kayaking.
