With a name that nods to the naval service of its historical owner, Commodore William Conway Whittle, The Anchorage House is a place where you can come to shore. Boaters, brides, tourists, and townspeople, can all enjoy this newly renovated historical venue. We are located on the beginning of Main Street on the downtown strip of Buchanan, VA going north bound on Route 11. We are within walking distance to the James River, which is very popular for kayaking and tubing. We are also close to several hiking trails. Our home offers 4 bedrooms upstairs, each with its own private bathroom. It is perfect for large family get togethers. It has a newly renovated kitchen and a beautiful wrap around porch.
