It is about a kilometer from the cog train to the building where you enter the mine, but is all uphill and not I would not recommend it if you are wheelchair bound or on crutches. …

It is about a kilometer from the cog train to the building where you enter the mine, but is all uphill and not I would not recommend it if you are wheelchair bound or on crutches. As far as inside the mine it is quite roomy with no squeeze spots. In some spots I could easily touch the ceiling with my hand and I too am mildly claustrophobic but I never once felt closed in. It is pretty dark inside but there is lighting, you would have trouble reading a book inside.
