I read on MDOT that they are detouring traffic around the bridge for repairs. Is it accessible? We were planning on going to see it August 10 when we go to the u.p.

US 2 is detoured. I read elsewhere that you can hike in from the detour, but I don't see that as really feasible. There's nowhere to park along the detour that I can recall. Husband and I were bummed to have to miss the bridge last month as we traveled from the Keweenaw to the lower peninsula.
