Staff?????? NO. The Chilliwack River Valley is a *wilderness area*, not a theme park. I would not recommend coming out here for recreational activities involving any kind of risk (including entering caves) unless you are fully competent, experienced and prepared or being guided by professionals. Once you are out here, there are a lot of hazards for those who don't know what they are doing. There is no cellphone reception anywhere beyond the very start of Chilliwack Lake Road, so if you have a medical emergency or need help, you are not going to be able to phone anyone. You are on your own. We have regular accidents out here - including fatalities - among unprepared and inexperienced people hiking, using off-road vehicles, swimming, kayaking, fishing and camping, thinking this area is like their backyard, or like Cultus Lake in summer. The largest of Chipmunk caves is closed off for public access unless the Caving Society give you access. This is for safety reasons and is a response to the issues I have highlighted.
