Crowded, but still reasonable to mange. A lot of stairs if that’s not your thing. But it’s possible to get a good view of the falls and the crowd was pretty polite about sharing space so everyone g…Full review by Elie6

The hike to Brandywine Falls is appx 1.5 miles from the Trailhead. We arrived early so there were no crowds. There was no parking fee. It starts with a nice wooden walkway... though does consist o…Full review by mreid

Very nice waterfall that was "relatively" easy to get to on the boardwalk. However, it did have quite a few steps, so if you're in anyway unable to maneuver steps, you would not be able to get all t…Full review by Susan A

Q:
Is there a cost to explore it
A:
Nope
Q:
How long do people typically spend here?
A:
I would say 30 minutes to an hour should be adequate for exploring the falls. The boardwalk pathway to the overlooks is only a few tenths of a mile.
Q:
Is this a place you can take a 2-3 year old to? Flat, steps, rugged, places they can fall?
A:
Hold on, and be prepared to carry. Many steps to the bottom viewing platform. Not a place to let a 2-3 year old wonder!
Q:
is there any way to get close to the waterfall or is it only a far view

I believe that the responses from people other than myself are adequate. Read what the have say. I did take the lower longer trailing and enjoyed having to walk back to the parking lot. I would suggest that you talk with the guides and park personnel first. I did enjoy leaving the trail at first. It was possible to get close to the waterfall. Walking on the slate could be dangerous. Read what the others have said as their answer cover all nine yards of the issue. Bring a camera and travel with somebody. This is not solo hiking territory for many visitors. No need to pretend that you are extra heroic.
