Most months are good, but its better in summer than winter!

You can park outside Isabella's Restaurant (no problem finding parking both times we visited). This is inside the harbour gate and next to the causeway entrance. As for time, it …

You can park outside Isabella's Restaurant (no problem finding parking both times we visited). This is inside the harbour gate and next to the causeway entrance. As for time, it depends how interested you are by the birds. Their specialised behaviour is interesting to watch and they provide wonderful photographic opportunities. There's also a small exhibition of whale, seal and bird skeletons in a building nearby. 2-3 hours max I would say.
