It's not that far - but it is mostly uphill - the centre of town is closer to the river and so much on the outskirts of the town is uphill. An easy walk of 15 minutes for me might be 40 minutes for someone less steady on their pegs or struggling if the weather is hot. Walking distance unless you have a limit of 10-15 minutes. Though it is possible to stop in a few places before. I actually preferred The Circus to The Crescent - but obviously it doesn't have this museum
