I'm pretty sure there were dogs, in the grounds at least, there when we visited. Not sure if they'd be allowed in the castle itself.

I would choose a midweek day to visit and to go for castle opening. 10am. I think but double check.

How long should I give myself for the castle and gardens
A:
About 3 hours for castle , plenty of guided tours which are great . They start about 10 then run hourly there's a board saying when and where . If you are Hha member free to get in .

No discounts for NT or Heritage members, privately owned.
